More than just selling bikes: Why we took to the streets for the transport transition at the Bike Rave

As a cargo bike shop in Cologne, we’re not just about offering high-quality bikes – but also about advocating for a more livable city. That’s why we recently participated in the Bike Rave, organized by the Fahrradentscheid Köln Initiative. Because the transport transition needs not only good bikes, but also people who advocate for safe bike paths, less noise, and clean air.

Why we participated

We believe: A cargo bike shop is more than just a business. It’s a place where people are inspired to make their daily lives more sustainable. But for that to succeed, the right framework conditions are also needed – and they don’t just appear on their own. The Bike Rave was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate together with others for more cycling infrastructure, safe routes, and a city where everyone feels comfortable.

Fahrradentscheid Köln: Together for a better future

The Fahrradentscheid Köln Initiative has been working for years to make the city more bicycle-friendly. With actions like the Bike Rave, it makes it clear: The transport transition is not an abstract goal, but a concrete concern that affects us all. As a shop that deals with cyclists every day, we know how important safe and attractive bike paths are – not only for our customers, but for the entire urban community.

Our commitment continues

The Bike Rave was a strong signal, but only a first step. We will continue to advocate for the transport transition in the future – be it through our products, our advice, or our involvement in the local cycling scene. Because in the end, it’s about more and more people being able to use bikes as a matter of course.
